Homes Under the Hammer host gobsmacked as grotty public loo totally transformed | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV
Homes Under the Hammer host Martin Roberts was left flabbergasted after a seemingly unsalvagable public toilet was turned into a beautiful, eco-friendly two-bedroom house on today’s special episode of the BBC show.
The 60-year-old presenter was bowled over as he revisited the property in a special 20th-anniversary episode for the series.
The BBC star took viewers all the way back to 2005 for the “very special” reveal, where a young Martin could be seen visiting a crumbling public toilet block in Bristol.
“For this one, we’ve plunged the depths of the archives to uncover one of the most unusual lots in the show’s 20-year history,” he promised.
In the historic clip, he went on to reveal that the public loo would soon be going up for auction, admitting it was “one heck of a gamble” due to a lack of planning permission.
