Kim Kardashian pokes fun at herself after failing to pass the bar | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to joke about how she’s still not passed the bar.

The Kardashians star, 42, poked fun at herself as the TV star is still pinning her hopes on becoming a lawyer in the future.

Sharing an image of a Snoopy artwork that said: “I ain’t passed the bar, but I know a lil’ bit…” with her 363 million fans, Kim hinted that she still hadn’t passed the bar, which is the necessary exam to become a certified lawyer.

The quote is a lyric from Jay Z’s 99 Problems and Kim shared the image on the picture-sharing site.

Kim has long harboured a desire to become a legal professional like her father Robert Kardashian.

In 2018 she registered with the Californian State Bar Association but kept this secret for a year before announcing her plans via Vogue Magazine when she appeared on their May cover in 2019.

Speaking to the magazine, she explained that she blocked out 18 hours of supervised study alongside lawyers Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney each week.

She told the magazine: “First year of law school, you have to cover three subjects: criminal law, torts, and contracts,

“To me, torts is the most confusing, contracts the most boring, and crim law I can do in my sleep. Took my first test, I got a 100. Super easy for me. The reading is what really gets me. It’s so time-consuming. The concepts I grasp in two seconds.”

In 2020 Kim’s legal ambitions were a major storyline in her reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians when she admitted that she took and failed the Baby Bar.

The Baby Bar is an exam American first-year law students take, with only 20 per cent of students passing.

The score needed to pass this exam is 560. On her first attempt, Kim scored an impressive 474 points, which dropped to 463 when she retook the exam later the same year.

In August 2021, she started to doubt her dreams of becoming a lawyer would ever happen when she failed for the third time. However, she retook it in December of the same year and passed.

Kim has also spoken out about how she doesn’t want to get rich from her legal skills, instead wanting to help people who have been previously accused of crimes and served jail time.

She told the Wall Street Journal in October 2021: “Hopefully, one day I can start a law firm where we can help people pro bono and hire people who were formerly incarcerated.

“I don’t see me floating on a yacht. I think I’ll always feel good when I’m working.”

Her father Robert was an American attorney and businessman who shot to fame when he was part of the defence team for OJ Simpson during his 1995 murder trial.

He’s also the father of Kim, Kourtney, 44, Khloe, 39, and Rob Kardashian, 36, who all found fame in the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians which ran from 2007 until 2021. He died in 2003, just eight weeks after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 59.
