Police have shot a woman who allegedly shouted “Allahu akbar” and threatened to “blow herself up” at a train station in Paris during rush this morning
Armed officers swarmed the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand station soon after 8.30am after panicked passengers called for the emergency services.
The woman, who was dressed in an Islamic veil allegedly “threatened to blow herself up”.
Police said the female, who was reportedly wearing an Islamic veil, refused to respond to their commands and was shot and wounded around 9.30am when officers opened fire.
It is not known what the condition of the woman is now.
