Princess Kate’s trick to avoid being spotted in public life that always works | Royal | News

Princess Kate is said to have a clever trick to go undetected in public as she attempts to do “normal” things.

A royal author made the claims in a new tell-all book where she discussed the Princess of Wales’s antics.

According to Tina Brown, former Vanity Fair editor, Kate manages to get “me time” by setting her alarm early and heading to one of her favourite spots before the rest of the public wake up.

She heads out before 8am to avoid the rush-hour commute and flashing cameras as fans hope to snap a shot of the Princess.

Tina claims Kate’s solo adventures are to “nourish her life” as she wakes up at the crack of dawn to get time to herself.

During the summer holidays she’s only been spotted once – at a David Hockney exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.

Kate’s three children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, will head back to school in September allowing the mother some more time to herself.

Speaking to PEOPLE, a palace insider revealed that Kate offers her children “stabilising normality – and that’s how she grew up. William absolutely loves it.”

The source added that the couple “consciously set out to achieve a sense of normality.”

And a friend claimed: “Royal families over the generations haven’t had the chance to get those foundations right, but they have.”

Kate often spends time with her family at Balmoral Castle in Scotland during the summer holidays, though it’s not clear if they visited this year.

The family have freedom to step out the door without paparazzi in this remote location.
