Tata Nexon EV facelift vs old Tata Nexon EV: battery, range, performance
The Tata Nexon EV Prime and Max have been replaced by Tata Nexon EV Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR) options. The MR comes with a 30kWh battery and 325Km range compared to Nexon EV Prime’s 30.2kWh battery and 312Km range. The LR on the other hand features a 40.5kWh battery similar to the last-generation model but upgraded 465Km range compared to 437Km thanks to lesser weight and better efficiency.
The new Gen 2 motor on the Nexon EV actually produces less power at 215Nm compared to 250Nm on the Nexon EV Max but both still go from 0-100Km/h in just under nine seconds. The new Nexon comes with V2V or V2L technology which can charge other EVs or even power up appliances from your Nexon EV’s charging port. The car still fast charges at the same 56-minute figure if a DC charger is used.
Multi-mode Regen can now be adjusted using paddle shifters. The same Eco, City and Sports drive modes are still present and can now be adjusted with a knob. The battery is protected with an IP67 water and dust resistance rating and is still liquid-cooled.

While the new Tata Nexon EV is still a facelift, it does come with new styling that makes it a pretty big upgrade. The steering wheel has been redesigned and lights up as the car starts. The seats and dashboard are dual-toned and adopt colours from the exterior colour you select for the car.
The infotainment system is a brand-new one with a larger 12.3-inch display featuring the usual wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. What’s new is the Arcade.ev app suite with 15+ apps including OTTs like Prime Video and Disney+ Hotsar. The new Nexon EV features an Air Purifier like its previous model. A wireless charger is now present along with 45W USB-C ports on both the front and the back.
