Daniil Medvedev admitted he felt ‘sorry’ for his friend Andrey Rublev after seeing off his fellow Russian at the ATP Finals.
The world No 3 strolled to a 6-4, 6-2 success over the fifth seed to exact revenge on Rublev after his defeat in the 2022 tournament, and Medvedev explained his view about overcoming his friend.
