Max Verstappen’s broken trophy took six months to make at a cost of £34,000 (€40,000), according to F1 journalist Sándor Mészáros.
He claims all of trophies are all handmade in the run-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix by Herendi Porcelanmanufaktura Zrt.
However, Verstappen is likely to get a replacemmet with the companies CEO, Attila Simon, on hand to fix any issues.
When asked what would happen if a trophy was broken, he said: “We are ready to react, no worries.”
