Chelsea are set to announce the signing of Djordje Petrovic on Wednesday.
Fabrizio Romano says the Blues are set to complete a deal worth up to £15.5m for the goalkeeper once he completes a medical.
Petrovic currently plays for MLS side New England Revolution.
He will sign a seven-year deal, with the option of an extra 12 months, and provide competition for Robert Sanchez.
