WWE SummerSlam 2023 LIVE updates: Cody Rhodes conquers Brock Lesnar, LA Knight wins the WWE SummerSlam Battle Royal

Gunther repeatedy kicks McIntyre. McIntyre responds with slaps on his face.

Gunther grabs McIntyre and hits him on the chest. Suplex by Gunther, McIntyre kicks out.

Gunther lands a ferocious kick on McIntyre.

McIntyre and Gunther land blows on  each other’s face.

A chop on McIntyre by Gunther followed by a German suplex.

Gunther and McIntyre grapple each other, first up.  Gunther locks McIntyre’s head in a lock. 

McIntyre lifts Gunther and slams him in the ring. Gunther kicks McIntyre.

Both wrestlers fight at ringside. Gunther slams McIntyre on ringpost. Gunther then slams McIntyre on ring steps.

Shayna Baszler defeats Ronda Rousey with the latter submitting in the MMA Rules match.

Baszler grabs Rousey’s neck.Rousey submits in the match, Baszler wins the match.

Rousey argues with the referee while Baszler is down on ringside. 

Rousey attacks match officials who came to look at Baszler. Baszler and Rousey attack each other.

A suplex by Baszler on Rousey.

Rousey applies the arm bar on Baszler. Baszler turns the table and locks Rousey’s ankle.

Rousey grabs Baszler’s legs.

Baszler gets taken down. Rousey kicks Baszler in her ribs. Baszler lifts Rousey and both fall to ringside.

Rousey throws series of punches on Shayna Baszler while she is down.

Bazler kicks forces Rousey to go to ringside. Baszler grabs Rousey’s legs and both fighters throws puches at each other.

Rousey climbs on to Baszler and kicks her in the face.

Ronda Rousey fights against Shayna Baszler (MMA Rules). The only win is to win by knockout or by submission.

Kross comes to ringside and eliminates one of the wrestlers. LA Knight and Sheamus remain.

Sheamus lifts Knight. Sheamus climbs to top rope. Knight slams Sheamus on the ring floor fromt he top rope.

Knight then throws Sheamus to ringside. LA Knight emerges the winner of WWE SummerSlam Battle Royal.

Grayson Waller, Chad Gable are also eliminated. Only 5 wrestlers left in the match now.

Otis, Ciampa, Santos Escobar and Austin Theory have been eliminated.

Brock Lesnar shakes Rhodes’ hands and hugs him. He lifts Rhodes’ hands and asks for respect from the crowd.

A new hero has been born today!, Rhodes reinforces himself as a great warrior.

Rhodes receives a warm hug from his mother. Rhodes shouts “All over”.

The saga between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar ends. 2-1 in Rhodes’ favour.

Rhodes does the cross Rhodes move on Lesnar. Three consecutive Cross Rhodes from The American Nightmare on Lesnar.

Count of 1,2 and 3. Rhodes wins the match!

Cody Rhodes has surpassed Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar locks Rhodes in Kimura lock. Rhodes cries in pain.

Rhodes grabs the bottom rope and escapes the lock. Rhodes lies flat on the floor.

Rhodes slams Lesnar on the exposed turnbuckle.

Now, Rhodes locks Lesnar in the Kimura Lock. Lesnar cries in pain. Lesnar is close to tapping.

Lesnar escapes the lock. Both wreslers lie flat in the ring.

Lesnar is in beast mode tonight!

Rhodes enters the ring again. Lesnar looks at him in disbelief.

Rhodes throws punches on Lesnar’s chest. Lesnar attacks with a suplex.

Rhodes removes the padding off turnbuckle.

At ringside, Rhodes tries to hit Lesnar with the steel steps. He then slams Lesnar on the ringpost.

Cody Cutter from Rhodes on Lesnar. He tries to pin Lesnar but The Beast Incarnate kicks out.

Referee starts the countdown. Rhodes enters the ring. He throws flurry of punches on Lesnar. 

Lesnar takes him to ringside and slams him on the announcer table with F-5.

Yet another suplex by Lesnar. Lesnar trash talks Rhodes. Rhodes falls to ringside. 

The referee counts. Rhodes enters the ring. Lesnar sends him out to ringside again. Countdown by the referee starts again.

Lesnar takes Rhodes to ringside and slams with an F-5. Rhodes writhes in pain on the floor at ringside.

Yet another suplex by Lesnar on Rhodes. Rhodes falls down to ringside. Lesnar laughs. 

Rhodes enters the ring.Lesnar hits another suplex. The Beast Incarnate is dealing with Rhodes is if he is a sack of cotton.

Lesnar pushes Rhodes down to the ringside. Total annihilation of Rhodes by Lesnar.

Lesnar slams Rhodes on the floor. Rhodes grabs the ropes but Lesnar continues the onslaught.

Lesnar grabs Rhodes and slams him with a suplex move. Sheer power and domination!

Another Suplex by Lesnar on Rhodes. The crowd goes wild.

Rhodes attacks Lesnar. Lesnar slams Rhodes on the floor. Rhodes respnds aggressively. Lesnar takes Rhodes to the corner and hits him in the chest.

As Lesnar tries to hit Rhodes for third times, Rhodes moves away. Fight contines at ringside.

Lesnar slams Rhodes into the ring post. The Beast Incarnate looks to be in complete domination.

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has entered the arena. Pyro works lit the arena.

Brock Lesnar has entered the ring, looking truly beasty. The crowd goes electric while Lesnar shows off his muscles.

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar are set to face each other in the second match of the night.

The crowd is enjoying this physical match. Frog splash by Paul on to Ricochet. Ricochet kicks out and survives.

Kick to the face from Ricochet on Paul. Ricochet lifts Paul and slams him on the floor. Paul kicks out.

Ricochet drags Paul. Paul gets hold of Ricochet’s ankle. Ricochet climbs to top rope and tries to jump onto Paul. Paul moves away.

Someone gives Paul brass knuckles, with the referee blindsided. Paul hits Ricochet with the knuckles and wins.

Ricochet continues kicking and hitting Paul. Paul gets up and hits him. A counter attack by Paul leads to a take down of Ricochet. Ricochet survives the count of three.

Ricochet slams Paul face first on the ring floor. He goes to top rope and jumps on to Paul. Paul got the knees up and Ricochet bears the brunt.

The match goes on.

Paul climbs to the top rope and jumps full body on Ricochet. He tries to pin him but Ricochet survives again.

Flurry of punches from both wrestlers.

Ricochet climbs to the top rope and takes Paul with him too. Both wrestlers slam down on the ring floor.

Ricochet kicks Paul and throws a back elbow punch. He hits Paul in the chest and follows it up with a flying take down from the top rope.

Paul survives the count of three.

A kick by Paul on Ricochet. Ricochet survies another count of three by the refree. 

Ricochet responds aggressively, Paul survives the pinfall.

A surreal back body drop by Paul on Ricochet. Ricochet is being beaten black and blue here.

Both wrestlers throw punches at ringside. Ricochet enters the ring. Paul grabs his leg and pulls him out to ringside again.

Paul slams Ricochet on the ring floor. Minutes later, Paul slams Ricochet on the apron.

Intially, it is Paul who is looking more dominant. Flurry of punches on Ricochet who is confined to the ring corner. Paul showing off his boxing skills too.

Powerslam by Paul, Ricochet survives the pinfall.

Logan Paul stands tall over Ricochet. First attack from Paul. Ricochet responds, Paul escapes to ringside.

Lots of trash talk between the wrestlers. At the moment, it’s more of jumping and leaping than wrestling.

Logan Paul has entered the arena amid a rousing reception from more than 50,0000 fans in the crowd.

His opponent Ricochet also enters the ring.

Three titles are at stake tonight at 2023 WWE SummerSlam

1) Title fight between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso

2) Title fight between World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Finn Balor

3) Title fight between Intercontinental Champion Gunther and Drew McIntyre

Paul Heyman weighs in on the upcoming high voltage clash between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns tonight.

Roman Reigns has promised that it will be a stormy affair tonight.
